What do I do? Well, I find it hard to put “what I do” into a single sentence nutshell. My best attempt is that I work as a full time missionary for Reliant at my church home, New Life Christian Fellowship. After growing up in a small town, I came to college excited to follow in my siblings’ footsteps and graduate from the best university in the world: Virginia Tech. Midway through an engineering degree, I felt like God wanted me to keep ministering to college students even after I graduate. He had prepared the way ahead of me, and after finishing up a master’s degree, I dove in. And an adventure it has been since December 2014 (when I started on staff with NLCF). I am a licensed minister, able to perform weddings and funerals. I’ve also been known to DJ/Emcee a few weddings before! Just let me know if you’d like help with that.
Areas of Focus
Discipleship & Teaching
Meeting with VT students in groups, as well as one-on-one, finding creative ways to encourage and challenge them in their walk with Jesus, in both informal and informal, relational settings. I also teach (preach) on Sundays with others on our team.
Technical Administration
Event & gathering planning, oversight, & execution. Web development and Google-Workspace administration. Non-profit financial bookkeeping, reporting, & analysis. Facilities oversight, including audio-visual multimedia design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and volunteer training.
International Missions & Clean Water Access
Leading short-term missions trips since 2015. Designing and maintaining long-term, neighborhood-scale clean water & sanitation solutions in Danli, Honduras.
My better half…
My wife, Ally, and I met through NLCF and were neighbors in Foxridge Apartments. We’ve been married since 2014 and welcomed our first child into the world in 2024- 10 years to the day after our first date. She is a full time pet nutritionist by vocation, but I am so thankful to do so much ministry together!
